Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect personal information about you directly. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed in your browser and are never sent to us or stored anywhere. We use analytics to understand which pages are useful, and we show advertising, which involves third party cookies.

Information we collect

Calculator inputs. Everything you enter into a calculator on this site runs entirely in your own browser. Those values are not transmitted to our servers, not logged and not stored. Close the tab and they are gone.

Standard server logs. Like almost every website, our host records basic request information including IP address, browser type, referring page and the time of the request. This is used for security and troubleshooting.

Analytics. We use privacy conscious analytics to see which pages get used and where people run into trouble. This measures pages and events in aggregate rather than tracking individuals across the web.

Email. If you email us, we obviously have your email address and whatever you wrote. We use it to reply and nothing else, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use them in two ways.

• Functional. Remembering interface preferences so the site behaves consistently for you.
• Advertising. Our advertising partners set cookies to measure ad performance and, depending on your settings and location, to show more relevant ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators will continue to work normally if you do.

Advertising

This site displays advertising served by third parties including Google. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Third party vendors may also use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits. We do not control these cookies and we do not have access to the data they collect.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights over personal data relating to you, including the right to request access to it, correction of it, or its deletion.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

Because we do not operate accounts and do not collect personal data directly, in most cases we simply hold nothing about you beyond standard server logs. If you want to make a request, email [email protected].

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third party links

Pages on this site link out to other websites, including the studio that built it. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we link to, and we would encourage you to read their policies.

Data retention and security

Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics and then discarded. Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful to keep and then deleted. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last revision. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced individually.
